RocketSnail posted on the official Box Critters Discord today that you can have a sneak peek at the shop. This is what he had to say:

UPDATE: Getting closer to launching the new show. You are welcome to take a peek by entering the code “/shop”. This will show the shop and the available items. I still need to fix the “free item” and “next week” items.

RocketSnail also tweeted:

When you enter /shop this is what happens:

If you select an item you get this popup on if you’d like to purchase it. At present pressing yes or no doesn’t do anything.

The following items are available to purchase through the console.The console is the developer view that you can find on web browsers. Just use world.buyItem("itemId") in the console, replacing the itemId with the item ID. Ensure you keep the quotes. RocketSnail has said this is available to do at the moment, you will not be banned for doing this. This will take coins from your account, the amount that shows for the item.

Critters, you may have experienced the registration pages being broken. Rocketsnail has said that he guesses he has broken the registration pages with his latest security update. This has now been fixed.

This is what he had to say on the Box Critters discord:

FIXED: I guess I broke the registration pages with my latest security update. All better now. I want to thank a number of the talented coders in the community for helping me close a number of security issues. Thank you for your help.

There is a new item available under the command /freeitem – typing this in the chat from now up until the 14th of June will give you the Clown Suit.

A few minor updates have been announced by RocketSnail through the discord channel. A few of them are the following:

UPDATE: Critters now have noses!!! What did they not have noses? No one knowses.

CHANGE: Decided to drop the idea on the bits folders. Large versions of the Icons, Items and Critters are now located in their matching folders. This “in theory” will improve performance and reduce the need to clear your cache.[

Bloggers to find the HD versions you will need to look in your sources tab in the browser console. Look for the media folder. When you see a PNG file that ends with a _sm or _md just change it to _lg to view the high resolution version.[
